Top 5 Brunch Spots in the Triangle

These *weirdly early* warm temps have me craving time out of the house to enjoy my favorite brunches! I don’t go for brunch too often, so when I do, I’m looking for a whole vibe and a menu with some unique entrees! And mimosas, of course. Here are my top recommendations for where to Brunch in the Triangle.

Parkside Restaurant

This Downtown Raleigh gem doesn't get nearly as much attention as it deserves. It has become my personal go-to for Brunch in the Downtown Raleigh area and I want everyone to know about it!! This casual spot is located at the entrance of the Warehouse District and you’ve probably passed it many times without even noticing it. This spot is the perfect place to catch up with friends and enjoy a top notch meal. Their Fried Chicken Biscuit Bowl with Jalapeño Gravy is not just my favorite meal at Parkside, but one of the best meals I’ve EVER had in my lifeeeeee. You must get it this weekend. Please & thank you!

Coquette

Get ready to be transported to Paris! Whisk yourself away to find French cuisine and a beautiful atmosphere within North Hills at Coquette. Their detailed interior, excellent service, and delicious eats has made this a spot I frequent often and it never disappoints. During their weekend brunch, you should try the newness being served in the pastry basket and their quiche which is rated one of the best in town. I can never leave without their brussels sprouts and truffle fries as well, no matter time of day.

Jack Tar & the colonel’s daughter

Next, let’s make our way to Durham! One of my favorite brunches can be found in Bull City at Jack Tar & the Colonel’s Daughter. I adore this restaurant’s modern design and it is in a great location if you’re spending the day exploring Downtown Durham. They serve up brunch every Saturday and Sunday and here are the 3 things I need you to order: the pancakes (in the top 3 best I’ve ever had!!!!!), the burger, and the cruellers. Order these three items plus a Targarita and you’ll have yourself the Jack Tar experience, Anna Haddock-style.

Superica

To know me is to know that I am currently obsessed with Fenton. I’m so excited about the cool spots that have opened there and Superica is one of them! Superica is a delicious Tex Mex restaurant with a vibrant space, flavorful food + drinks, and a beautiful patio to enjoy during the warm weather! It looks out onto the Fenton lawn where there’s always something exciting happening. They serve a delicious brunch on the weekends featuring Huevos Rancheros, Tamales & Eggs, Hot Cakes, as well as their full normal menu. I always go for their enchiladas which are fantastic.

Peck & Plume

Any Downtown Cary fans here? You’ll want to stick around for this one. Located within Mayton Inn is the newly redesigned restaurant, Peck & Plume. “Peck & Plume is where those of a feather come to roost.” This modern American spot had me captivated by its stunning interior design and exciting menu. During brunch you can enjoy red eye barbeque shrimp & grits, a smoked salmon scramble, a bakery basket, and more. Just remember to get a Mayton Mimosa, trust me.
